If you are looking for an adult animated show that will make you laugh throughout the entire episode then Archer is the ticket. Even if you have never watched an episode before you can pick up season six and enjoy it thoroughly.
Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) is a secret agent – a very unique one in that he is quite incompetent but somehow manages to keep his job. Not only does he keep his job; he is considered the best in the world at what he does. This despite the fact that most of his time is spent getting in trouble with women and alcohol. Then there is his relationship with his mother (voiced by Jessica Walter), who is also his boss. Dysfunctional to say the least. This guy makes James Bond look like a pussy cat.
Season six sees the series returning to its roots after straying into an odd Miami Vice homage in season five. We are once again operating in the spy world with the CIA involved. He and his co-workers and spies go about straining to successfully complete missions while even everyday tasks seem beyond this ragtag group. This return to what they are best at seems to have reinvigorated the writers and the sight gags are once again hilarious. That alongside the delicious verbal back and forths the series became known for makes for a winning combination. Bottom line is that this series is consistently laugh out loud funny and unlike anything else on television right now.
