Former frontman of the Black Crowes, Chris Robinson is back with his new crew. A few of the band members have been changed since their last release, but there is still great cohesion here. His name is right up front this time. The Chris Robinson Brotherhood is once again a more traditional rock outfit but this time around they have more soul sound to them. Total jam band feel to this album. A vibe of just a bunch of guys who love playing music and have fun doing so. You cannot listen to it without a smile on your face and immediately feeling sunny. Trippy (with some prog rock sensibilities within certain tracks) and funky. The musical formula they use here is based on the idea that simpler is better. Gets better with each subsequent listen.
