Just as Arrow’s (played by Stephen Amell) life seems to be settling down some it kicks back up into an even higher gear. Which is saying plenty considering he is a super hero/vigilante. Oliver had given up the hood and settled down into a normal life. He no longer even lives in Starling City.
The amping back up begins with a simple knock at the door. The simplicity of this act ends when Oliver opens it to find his sister/The Red Arrow (played by Willa Holland) and his ex-girlfriend Laurel/Black Canary (played by Katie Cassidy). They are there to tell him that Starling City in under attack by a new dastardly organization known as HIVE, led by Damien Darkh (played by Neal McDonough). A mystic with mysterious powers.
So it is back to his home town and wearing the hood. His former friend and partner Diggle (played by David Ramsay) is not thrilled to be working with him again. But finally gets his head around letting the past remain in the past.
What follows are loads of paranormal occurrences, things revealed, a reappearance and flashbacks. The addition of a mystical element to the story adds plenty with the fights even being better as a result. Team Arrow still has its issues with stuff getting in between members occasionally. The show tries to give fans the right mix of action, intrigue, romance and humour.
