Usually as we get older our senses dull and our abilities diminish. Not across the board but typical. Now David Crosby comes out with a new album that begs to differ. It is his best lot of songs in a long time. By a long time I mean decades. No joke. There is a calming sense of maturity lyrically, enough vulnerability and openness that you get a sense of the man and where his head and heart are and some great musicianship all combined into one very palatable package. What has to be highlighted are the comfort you feel hearing that well-known voice not really showing much sign of age and that great acoustic guitar playing. Because of the stripped down nature of the 9 tracks on the album it has a warm, intimate feel to it like he is in your living room playing a show just for you.
