Zombies in film and television shows for the most part are pretty laughable. Slow and brainless does not bring fear into my heart. This season The Walking Dead has become like a zombie – slow and without a brain. To keep the fan base they have to start mixing things up as it has become rather repetitive and predictable. Was a very frustrating season.
Season six left us with a cliffhanger which is where season seven picks up. Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) gives Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) and his group of survivors no choice but being completely under his thumb. It will be his way or the highway (meaning death). Bloodshed is involved in the “convincing”. Rick chooses to think that there is a future under Negan’s rule. It won’t be utopia but they will live. That does not last long as Rick realizes that Negan is not a man that can be reasonable. War is now the only choice left to Rick and his followers. In order to defeat Negan and his forces Rick has to convince the people from the Kingdom and Hilltop groups to band with them in the fight.
