Paulaa‘s sonically spacious new single“Commit” recreates the entrancing trip-hop feel utilized in the ’90s by the likes of Massive Attack or Portishead.
Driven by a straightforward, albeit creative beat, the poppy Little Dragon-esque elements within the instrumentation are skilfully paired with Paulaa’s Sia-esque vocals (and a slight hint of Martina Topley Bird in there too).
Paulaa also shares the electronically focused FREE DOWNLOAD “Know You“ as a B-side to “Commit“. It is a well crafted pop track which, accompanied by Paulaa’s glossy double-tracked vocals, conjures a 1990s R&B slink. However, the hook boasts elements of UK Garage with its deep basslines, similar to that of Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, or Mura Masa making “Know You“ unique and ear-catching.
