Hip Hop Via Brooklyn – Flatbush Zombies

East coast hip hop calls New York City its home. Tons of that genres music comes from NYC. Flatbush Zombies are out of the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. The trio got together in 2010 and joined into the city’s Beast Coast hip hop collective.

Throughout their eight years the guys, Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick Arc Elliott, have collaborated with plenty of other artists. They include RZA, Juicy J and ASAP Mob. As well as having performed at music festivals like Coachella, SXSW, Pemberton, and Wireless. The band members have listed Eminem, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Jimi Hendrix, Jay Z, and Etta James as their influences.

All this happened just on the backs of their released mixtapes and videos. It was not until they had gathered enough momentum and notice that they recorded their first album in 2016, 3001: A Laced Odyssey.

The follow up came earlier this year with the release of their sophomore album, Vacation in Hell, with its lead single being the title track.
