This isn’t really a new film. Rather it is a recut version of Deadpool 2. The edited version will be PG-13, meaning there will be less language and violence. For fans there will be some new footage to be found. The new set up will involve it being set up a la The Princess Bride meaning it will be set up as a bedtime story. Fred Savage (who is in the poster) will be featured in the new scenes.
Once Upon a Deadpool will be theaters for 12 days, starting December 12 and running through December 24, aiming to get ticket sales from teenagers on winter break who couldn’t see the bloody Deadpool 2 in theaters previously. For every ticket bought, $1 will go to the Fuck Cancer campaign — which has been renamed “Fudge Cancer” for this run.
