You’ll Be Seeing Stars

Together since 2000 this Montreal based band has carved out quite a career on the local and Canadian scene. Each member of the band – Torquil Campell (vocals), Evan Cranley (bass), Amy Millan (vocals/guitar), Patrick Mcgee (drums), Chris McCarron, and Christopher Seligman (guitar) – goes off to do their own thing, but they always come back together to create music. For instance, many of the members of this band has played with Canadian musical collective Broken Social Scene.

With their own sound the pop/indie rock band cites New Order, The Smiths, Brian Wilson, and Outkast as influences. Songs of theirs have been featured on shows like One Tree Hill, Queer as Folk, The O.C., Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Gossip Girl. Live the band has played at Coachella, Osheaga and as part of the recent The Strombo Show’s Hip 30.

Over the course of their time together they have released six EPs and nine full-length albums with the most recent being 2017’s There is No Love in Florescent Light. They have earned two Juno and two Polaris Music Prizes nominations.
