Christmas is family time. Time to spend time and enjoy time together. To help you in that effort Desjardins is the title sponsor to a now annual event which takes place in several parks around the city. There you will find over 100 free shows and other entertainment. Something you can enjoy as a family. Something that will get you outdoors in order to enjoy the season.
You can also go to any of the three participating parks and buy a Christmas tree. Buy one here and you won’t have to worry about how to get it home. The trees, which are balsalm firs, purchased at Christmas in the Park can be delivered to your home anywhere on the island of Montreal. Besides bringing that great smell and look of Christmas to your house all the profits from the sale of the trees will go towards Auguste Theatre, a non-profit organization.
Some of the free shows will feature acts like Alex Burger, Cherry Cherie, Le Winston Band, Les Classy, Gypsy Sun, Valery Vaughn, and Violin Dingue. This is just the tip of the iceberg. A large iceberg. Other things waiting to be partaken of include a Fairy Village, a rural site which will give citydwellers a taste of the countryside, sleigh rides, storytellers, fireplaces, a traveling Santa, a carnival, a caravan, gingerbread people, games courtesy of Ednamation, Gilobo the clown, a torchlight Christmas walk, and even sheep.
