How to Get Away With Murder: The Complete First Season

There are many reasons to watch this series. I think the fact that Viola Davis is one of the best actresses working today is no longer up for debate. That is reason number one to watch this series. She is amazing. And that is not hyperbole. As the centerpiece of How to Get Away With Murder all revolves around her. Such a good actress that everything she does is believable. In the hands of a lesser actress Annalise Keating could have become a one dimension character. Instead she makes Annalise loveable/hate worthy, brilliant, complex, damaged, and someone you can’t take your eyes off of.

Second is that it is a Shonda series. With Scandal, Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy already in her CV this is another one which is going to solidify her as one of the the premiere show developpers in television. Whatever she is involved with is worth a watch.

In regards to the stories they will more than keep your interest. Sexy, entertainment, crazy, and surprising. The story keeps moving quickly not allowing you to get bored.

Each year professor and defence lawyer Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis) selects a couple of students from her 101 class and they become her interns or the Keating 5. This year Connor Walsh (played by Jack Falahee), Michaela Pratt (played by Aja Naomi King), Asher Millstone (played by Matt McGorry), Laurel Castillo (played by Karla Souza), and Wes Gibbins (played by Alfred Enoch) will help Annalise, Bonnie (played by Liza Weil) and Frank (played by Charlie Weber) out on their cases.

The ambitious law students internally compete for Annalise’s approval, but soon their attention is soon turned to a murder case they are all involved personally in.

You are not watching the ABC series not to learn about law rather to be entertained by all the crazy things going on and watching Viola Davis weave her magic. You will be hooked.
