As they exist on pretty much all continents cats are one of the best known predators on this planet. This PBS series attempts to shed even more light on all different types of cats. Filmed over 600 days in 14 different countries, there are 31 species of cats featured in the three part mini-series.

You might think you know plenty about cats, especially those like lions and tigers, but you will be surprised at how much you don’t know. Being skilled predators a lot of their behaviours are kept hidden and several things you will see here have never been seen on film before. We follow a lone, young male snow leopard in the Himalayas, a swamp tiger in South Asia and an amazing blind in one eye bobcat in California. Plus there will be cat species – like the margay – you have never heard of. Plenty to learn.

We recognize how smart they are and possess a whole range of emotions. Plus how most species are quite social and make really good parents. We see how they have adapted to their various environments making their survival possible over most of the globe. Amazing footage has been captured. Never ceases to amaze me.

Great viewing for the entire family, especially kids as it is good for them to know that the animals they see in zoos exist and thrive in the wild.
