Montreal Non-Profit KIDS CODE JEUNESSE Inspires and Empowers Educators with Free Coding & Digital Skills Training in Every Province and Territory!
Having taught digital skills and computational thinking to nearly 1,000 Canadian educators through 22 workshops in 8 provinces and 2 territories since April 2018, Kids Code Jeunesse’s national Code Create Teach initiative (in collaboration with Lighthouse Labs) is about to tackle its third and final workshop in the Great Canadian North!
The Code Create Teach workshops in the Territories have seen lead instructors travel from Montreal and Vancouver to deliver the hugely successful training program in Whitehorse (Dec. 11) and Yellowknife (Jan. 25), with Iqaluit (Feb. 20) set to wrap up the northern series. Over 100 educators in the north from some of the most remote communities in the country recently attended these pioneering workshops with many more confirmed for Feb 20.
“This workshop was wonderful. I really appreciate the help learning how to incorporate new coding/computational thinking techniques into my classroom. Highly recommended for all teachers!” – Educator in Whitehorse
“We are very excited about this opportunity to work with teachers in the territories. We’ve been fortunate to reach dedicated teachers from Northern communities who have travelled to our past workshops in Prince Rupert and Rocky Mountain House. But this opportunity to be learning from teachers in the territories is very precious to us.” – Juliet Waters (Senior Education Director, Kids Code Jeunesse)
“The workshop was fun, amazing and inspiring. It was relevant and engaging. Thank you!” – Educator in Whitehorse
