Indie Montréal‘s IMTL Press is excited to announce the unveiling of Fredric Gary Comeau’s new album The Glimmer exclusively on ICI Musique, before its release on March 1st. First English-language LP since Hungry Ghosts (Audiogram, 2001) and flanked by guest vocalists Alexandre Désilets and Andrea Lindsay, Comeau’s own voice is surprisingly direct and powerful. The album addresses, besides grief, the themes of separation, friendship and unflappable love. Musically, The Glimmer sports surprising jazz and rock influences (Barricades, Time to Leave, There’ll Be No End to This, When This Fever Breaks). Its composer nevertheless remains true to his folk and country roots (Little Lion, Out for Blood, One Thing I Never Learned). On February 25, Fredric Gary Comeau will play through the entire album during his free launch concert at Verre Bouteille. More dates will follow in the rest of Canada over 2019.
