Fresh of celebrating their 10th anniversary with NGX: Ten Years of Neon Gold, a rare collection of unreleased and exclusive material, the New York boutique record label announces their *ninth* annual Neon Golden SXSW showcase, returning to Empire Garage + Control Room (info HERE) on March 13th as one of South By Southwest’s longest running and most respected events.

 

Previous Neon Golden headliners include Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Years & Years, Marina, MØ et. al, and this year’s showcase sees performances across two stages by morgxn, Bulow, Alphabeat, Donna Missal, Robinson, Easy Life, Jarryd James, Wafia, Your Smith, Charlotte OC, and Odette on the bill. This is an official showcase, and will be free entry with SXSW badges.

 

Neon Gold Records was founded by Derek Davies and Lizzy Plapinger (MS MR, LPX), and has gone on to release over 50 artists since Passion Pit’s debut. New York based and distributed worldwide through Atlantic Records, specializing in the most credible pop music the world has to offer. Since launching in 2008 with the release of Passion Pit’s debut single “Sleepyhead”, Neon Gold has discovered and released the debut singles from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, MØ, Gotye, Icona Pop and more such as Charli XCX, HAIM, Marina & The Diamonds, St. Lucia, The Knocks, Christine and the Queens and many more have all called the label home over the past decade.

 

Neon Gold also runs a successful live events arm, operating popular monthly club nights in NYC, London, and LA, that have hosted the debut shows from Halsey, Dua Lipa CHVRCHES, Billie Eilish, BØRNS, Grouplove and more in addition to their flagship annual showcases at The Great Escape, CMJ and SXSW.
