In two weeks will open the 37th edition of the International Festival of Films on Art. A pre-opening will take place on Monday, March 18 at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Quebec, and an opening on Tuesday, March 19 at the Monument-National de Montréal. There will be twelve days of rejoicing, learning, encounters and emotions.
I am pleased to share today the trailer for the 37th edition. In 30 seconds, we wanted to share the incredible diversity of an exceptional program composed of more than 200 titles from 40 countries. More than ever, FIFA is a festival open to the world and its time, conducive to meeting, exchanging and discovering.

More than 100 directors, producers and artists will make the trip to Montreal to meet filmgoers during this edition. They come with an irrepressible desire to share with you their experiences and glances on our time.
In addition to art films, this year we feature artists’ films in the FIFA Experimental section, with a monographic program dedicated to the Belgian artist Anouk De Clercq and eighteen other media artists. In addition, to make art accessible to as many people as possible, we are launching this year’s FIFA Experientia, a program of free interactive works offered to the public at Place des Arts. Finally, to stimulate our reflection and agitate our creative neurons, three days of conferences and brainstorming will be held at our new headquarters at UQÀM’s heart of science under the FIFA Connexions banner. We will discuss the creation of new documentary business models in the digital age, the links between architecture and image, and digital tools to develop the taste of the arts among young people. There will be a carte-blanche day at Pascale Raynaud at the Louvre Museum and a special screening in collaboration with NOWNESS. Finally, the edition will mark the 40th anniversary of the Canadian Center for Architecture and the 50th anniversary of the Theater Center of Today.
Participate in our benefit screening, Belles-Soeurs on the big screen, on Wednesday, March 20th at 7pm. For the first time, this masterpiece by Michel Tremblay, René Richard Cyr and Daniel Bélanger will be on the big screen, with its original cast, composed of Marie-Thérèse Fortin, Guylaine Tremblay, Maude Guérin, the late Janine Sutto and 12 other actors. A unique opportunity to celebrate this masterpiece of Quebec culture on a grand scale! Let us remember at every moment the raison d’être of this festival, its qualities, its uniqueness, its voice. Let’s dream today for its future and let’s prepare it together! Our strength lies in programming: films of rare quality that deal with one of the most mysterious and fascinating aspects of the human being: our creative intelligence
