Excited to announce that The Liquor Store‘s new album, NightDrive, is now streaming exclusively via ICI Musique in advance of its May 31st official release. They will be performing in Montreal on May 29 at Apt. 200.
Produced by Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin,Patrick Watson, Matt Holubowski), NightDrive draws upon pop culture, catharsis in tragedy and betrayal, but also mystery, adventure and bliss. The band wove a vast repertoire of styles, emotions and subjects into the opus’ 14 tracks, which flow into one another like a story open to each listener’s unique interpretation.
Masters of funk and getting the party started, the talent and versatility of each The Liquor Store member creates an explosive melange of various musical styles (jazz, funk, pop, R’n’B, électro, etc.) without losing in identity and sense of continuity. In this opus, the vocal collaborations with talented female artists (Frannie et Fab de Random Recipe, Malika Tirolien, Aïza) crossover with instrumental flights of fancy. NightDrive is a trilingual album, sung in French, English snd Creole.
The band also unveiled a second single “Royalty” on May 17 on all streaming platforms.

About The Liquor Store
The Liquor Store was born in 2011 when a couple of accomplished jazz musicians came together through their love and passion for music and the potential “fame” they would obtain on campus by playing at a student gathering. Fast forward to 2013 and their funky rhythms were compiled to create their first E.P., Hooked, along with a first official single and music video.
In 2014 two additional members joined to create The Liquor Store we know today and since then, they have toured throughout Quebec and Ontario promoting their funky grooves and energy to the masses. The Liquor Store released their second E.P., Room For Everyone in September 2015, which highlights a different side of the bands’ influence.
In 2018, they took to Wild Studios with the aim of producing a complete first album, produced by Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Patrick Watson, Matt Holubowski).
