A drama like many before it. It deals with the Walker family. A family in which no moment is a quiet one. There is always something going on and it is never of the non-dramatic variety.
Another series about the American family. This particualar pool never seems to run dry. Nothing that happens here is something you have not seen before. Parent-child conflict, addiction, a gay person in the closet, family business in peril, cancer, divorce, health issues, car accidents, marital problems, and tango lessons…ok, maybe that last one is kinda new. But the rest is rather unoriginal and the fact that it happens at break neck speed gets rather wearing after a while.
That being said people tuned in to this show. Mostly because of the acting talent here. When you get Sally Fields, Calista Flockhart, Rob Lowe, Matthew Rhys, Rachel Griffiths, Ron Rifkin, Patricia Wettig, Emily VanCamp, Balthazar Getty, and Ken Olin all in the same cast interest will be piqued.
