DEBUT VIA THE 49TH INSTALLMENT OF ADULT SWIM SINGLES
NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS
Synth extraordinaire, Gavin Rayna Russom teamed up with Chicago-based rapper KC Ortiz to debut a new track “Heaven’s Highways” for the 49th installment of Adult Swim Singles. A reflection of both their relationships with religion as LGBTQ artists, “Heaven’s Highway” is a blend of Ortiz’s hard-hitting bars over Russom’s analog synth soundscape. The track is a further collaborative step between the two artists who have previously worked together a number of times – including an in-depth discuss about Trump’s Trans Military Ban with Billboard, playing Chicago’s #1 voted LGBTQ dance party Femme’s Room together, and a panel discussion about women in music at Soho House Chicago. “Heaven’s Highway” represents Russom and Ortiz as multimedia artists and activists who seek to transform culture through the communication of spiritual ideas, by taking academic music to real people’s daily lives.
