The Sixth Edition of Montreal Vegan Festival
Plant-Based Power at the Palais!
Sat 21 & Sun 22 September @ Palais des congr s de Montr al
Following its biggest event to date, when nearly 20,000 visitors descended upon Palais des congr s de Montr al last Autumn, the Montreal Vegan Festival (MVF) is delighted to announce the full schedule for this year’s 6th edition, and the all-new Friends of the MVF program!
The Friends of the MVF program gives up to 1,000 people the opportunity to purchase a $20 festival membership giving them exclusive early access to the festival on Saturday 21st from 9am – 10am. During this hour participating vendors will be offering a 10% discount on all purchases.
Once again MVF will offer visitors two full days of bilingual activities that are open to everyone and cater to all tastes…for free! Visitors will be able to try and buy all types of vegan goods; food, clothing, beauty products, household products, and more from more exhibitors than ever before, both local and national. There will also be conferences, thematic workshops, cooking demonstrations, and the hugely popular library section with over 200 titles to peruse and buy, where guests will be able to have their books signed on-site by some of their respective authors.
At MVF 2019, nobody will be asking ‘where do you get your protein?’! Some serious Plant-Based Power will take the stage when MVF 2019 spokesperson 2016 CFL East All-Star Safety Marc-Olivier Brouillette, is joined by The Bad Ass Vegan, John Lewis, and NHL enforcer Georges Laraque for the very first All Gain, No Pain: World-Class Vegan Athletes Break Stereotypes panel!

Away from the sporting arena, MVF 2019 will have another collection of experts present a multitude of conferences; American cardiologist Dr. Kim Allan Williams will discuss nutrition and heart disease, best-selling author Dr. Jonathan Balcombe brings his hugely popular What A Fish Knows talk to Montreal for the first time, parents can learn about veganism in the home at the Enlever un Famille Vegane dans un Monde Carniste panel, life on farm sanctuaries will be revealed by an international panel of sanctuary owners, and other thought-provoking topics such as social justice, speciesism, intersectional veganism, and zootherapie, will all feature throughout the weekend.
Via a series of mouth-watering cooking demos, top vegan talents will share their recipes and culinary tips; brunch is on the menu with chef and author Doug McNish, while MVF 2018 spokesperson The Buddhist Chef, Jean-Philippe Cyr will be back at the festival to share his Butter Tofu secrets. Montreal chef Eline Bonnin will bring a delicious dose of decadence with her La Brioche Vegane, avec de le Tartinade Choco-Noisette, while vegan cheese is the focus with French Toast Monte Cristo with Glazed Tofu and Homemade Vegan Cheeze, courtesy of vegan author and social media star Megan Sadd.
