Lisez l’Europe, in collaboration with the Festival international de la litt rature (FIL) and the Cin ma du Mus e des Beaux-Arts, invites you to the movies. Sci-fi, urban life, return to the 1950s, desire for freedom… there is a little something for everyone!
6 projections are planned between September 14 and 24 2019:
–September 14, 2:30 pm : Cold Skin, directed by Xavier Gens. Based on Albert S nchez Pi ol’s novel;
–September 16, 7 pm : Apari ao, directed by Fernando Vendrell. Based on Vergilio Ferreira’s novel;
–September 19, 7 pm : The Bookshop, directed by Isabel Coixet. Based on Penelope Fitzgerald’s novel;
–September 21, 1:30 pm : Chucks, directed by Sabine Hiebler and Gerhard Ertl. Based on Cornelia Travnicek’s novel;
–September 22, 1:30 pm : Corniche Kennedy, directed by Dominique Cabrera. Based on Maylis de Kerangal’s novel;
–September 24, 7 pm : Transit, directed by Christian Petzold. Based on Anna Seghers’ novel.

Lisez l’Europe
Lisez l’Europe consists of a group of European cultural institutions whose mission is to present in Montreal a contemporary perspective on the various literatures which animate European cultures. It is also a meeting point for readers, authors and publishers in Quebec.
Over the years, Lisez l’Europe got local readers to discover several European authors, at the Montreal Book Fair, the Festival international de la litt rature (FIL) and the Blue Metropolis festival.
Lisez l’Europe is also at the helm of a European Book club, which meets regularly in a different cultural institut in Montreal to discuss a contemporary European novel.
The Festival international de la litt rature (FIL):
The Festival international de la litt rature (FIL) is an annual French-language, multidisciplinary, national and international literary festival whose mission is to promote literature, books and reading to various audiences.
The FIL is, every year, a 10-day festival of words taking place in the Montreal area. The FIL has also become an event that shines throughout the year and the province of Quebec, as well as increasingly abroad.
