For a limited time, the Grammy-winning superstar’s beloved classics will be available on 180 gram translucent gold and red vinyl discs
Legendary singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins and Friday Music are pleased to announce the October 4, 2019 release of a very special collection of timeless songs, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – The Greatest Hits of Kenny Loggins. Since its original CD release in 1997, the superlative 15-track smash hit package has become an enduring fan favorite across the globe. Now, for the first time ever, it is available as a Super Limited-Edition 180 Gram Two-LP Audiophile Series on both translucent gold vinyl and translucent red vinyl. “I’m very excited to share this special set of songs with my fans,” says Loggins. “And I’m especially proud to be releasing this collection as a two-LP vinyl package. It sounds absolutely remarkable, like it did when I first recorded it, and I can’t wait for all of you to hear it.”
Impeccably mastered by Friday Music President & CEO Joe Reagoso (who has overseen brilliant reissues of a who’s who of music greats) at Friday Music Studios and pressed on translucent gold vinyl and translucent red vinyl at R.T.I., Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – The Greatest Hits of Kenny Loggins will also be available for a very limited time with a gatefold cover art presentation, as well as huge 24” x 24” front cover poster sure to thrill Loggins’ loyal legion of fans. “Kenny Loggins is one of the world’s finest singer/songwriters in popular music, and his musicianship has intrigued millions of us for many years,” says Reagoso. “While mastering this wonderful collection, I can truly say that this first-time audiophile vinyl release displays his unique artistry, showing various chapters of his hit filled career, with the diversity, the star power, and of course all that is Kenny Loggins.” Over the course of two LPs, this sprawling collection traces Loggins’ phenomenal solo career, which he began in 1976 after ending his gold and platinum partnership with Jim Messina as part of the duo Loggins and Messina. It contains some of the most memorable compositions and recordings in pop music history, starting with the beloved title track to his debut album, Celebrate Me Home, and on through an astonishing array of classics that includes “Whenever I Call You Friend” (his chart smash duet with Stevie Nicks) and the Grammy-winning “This Is It,” along with other gems such as “Return to Pooh Corner” (the title track to the best-selling children’s album of all time), “Conviction of the Heart” and his Grammy-nominated pairing with Journey’s Steve Perry, “Don’t Fight It.” |

On the September 29th episode of Family Guy titled “Yacht Rocky” – which was also the premiere of its 18th season – the Griffin family takes a trip on a Yacht Rock cruise featuring a cameo from Kenny Loggins and a number of his peers. The episode is available to view on Hulu as well as the FOX website. Loggins became the first major rock star to dedicate himself to recording music for children as his album Return to Pooh Corner remains the best-selling children’s album of the last 20 years. He regularly lends his musical talent and generous heart to support youth-based programs with his core belief that, “Every child should experience the healing power of music.” In conjunction with this belief, Loggins is pleased to be a Kids Music Day Ambassador for the 4th Annual Kids Music Day, taking place on October 4th, 2019. Kids Music Day partners with music schools, music stores and other music organizations around the world to help focus attention on the importance of including music as part of children’s education. More information can be found at www.kidsmusicday.org. Over the years, Loggins has earned the title “King of the Movie Soundtrack,” and this collection underscores that distinction with the inclusion of his first cinematic triumph, “I’m Alright,” from the movie Caddyshack, as well as two cuts that have become bona fide cultural touchstones: the joyous, Oscar-nominated title track to the movie Footloose and “Danger Zone,” the breakaway, jet-fueled rock hit from the film Top Gun. One of the most successful artists of our time, Kenny Loggins has sold over 25 million albums, won two Grammy Awards and continues to thrill audiences worldwide with raucous live performances filled with his wall-to-wall hits. Among his many honors, he is the recipient of the ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award and was recently recognized by the Guild of Music Supervisors, which honored him with the organization’s first-ever Icon Award for his outstanding achievements in film, television, and soundtracks. |
