Festival’s environment theme

The
Festival is thrilled to present Jeff Nichols’ TAKE SHELTER at
6:00PM in the Cinéplex Odéon Quartier Latin (Salle 17). The 2011 thriller is
screened as part of the Festival’s environment programming, one of three major
cinematic themes offered this year. It stars Michael Shannon as Chris, a
family man plagued by increasingly frequent apocalyptic visions. As his mental
state deteriorates — to the terror of his family — Chris’ only comfort is the
underground bunker in his yard. The film will be followed by a discussion on
eco-anxiety and climate change with eco-sociologist Laure Waridel.

snowstorm. Their attraction is immediate, but its intensity will force them to
test the boundaries of anonymous relationships. The result is a story that’s
steamy and intimate, mysterious and manipulative… and not to be missed. Join
lead actors Yury Paulau and SĂ©bastien Ricard at 6:15PM in the
Cinéma du Musée for a Q&A after the film screening.
