Dubbed the stomping ground of the movers and shakers of
Montreal’s design scene, in its 16th year SOUK
moves its next edition to a new venue in Saint-Henri’s RCA Edifice, 1001
Lenoir Street. From November 27th till December 1st, 2019,
the historic industrial building dating back to 1908, will become the epicentre
of the city’s creative minds and an exceptional market of striking
creations. New this year : children will be welcome

Every year, SOUK brings together
the best of local innovative thinkers and skilled makers to celebrate the city
with remarkable flair and an unparalleled vibe. An eclectic gathering that
brings together the aesthetically inclined, the design conscious, the curious
onlookers and Montreal lovers, it caters to a modern lifestyle in all its
aspects.

SOUK has long taken part in the regeneration of Montreal’s beloved neighbourhoods and thriving districts. From the city’s seedy red-light district, that is today a live centre of wonderful activities, to Saint-Henri, a neighbourhood that embodies Montreal’s constant transformation and cultural evolution.

A revitalized quartier, Saint-Henri, is a hub for like-minded creatives and businesses and home to an interesting legion of antique stores, coffee shops, public spaces and galleries. The RCA Building embodies Saint-Henri’s illustrious heritage and vibrant character. Previously the site of the Berliner Gramophone Company, and much later of the famed RCA Victor factory and studio, its storied history is of musical pioneers and industrial prowess. Today it houses the Emile Berliner musée des ondes, a must-see gem, as well as numerous knowledge- based businesses.

SOUK is proud to partner with Allied Properties REIT, owners of the RCA Building, to showcase great design and to create an interesting and diverse dynamic that encourages creative exchange, allows unique connections and cloaks the city in a festive ambiance.
