‘FOREIGNER’ – DEBUT ALBUM OUT MARCH 13, 2020ON TOUR NOW WITH AMBER RUN; CONFIRMED FOR SXSW 2020

The track was produced
by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini) and is yet another stunning
exploration of British/Congolese singer’s soul and pop-fueled songwriting, with
expansive highs and tender lows. It’s the latest single from his upcoming debut
album Foreigner, available March 13th, 2020
via AWAL, and the new video is directed by Mackampa’s long time
collaborator, Tom Ewbank.

I wanted this video to capture the mental, and sometimes physical battles we go through in relationships, whether they are platonic or romantic with people in our lives,” notes Jordan. “It can sometimes feel as though you’re dealing with two different people, but no one else sees the other person you encounter who brings you pain and hurt, rather than joy. You become inwards within yourself until you can’t take it anymore and have to walk away from them, even if it’s hard.”

“Parachutes” follows the release of the questioning single “What Am I”–a modern take on Marvin Gaye’s classic “What’s Going On” that highlights the state of the world right now and how helpless we can feel while trying our best to make changes. Jordan also previously released single “Under” in May and three EP’s–Live From The Grand Cru (late-2017), Tales From The Broken (early-2017) and Physics (2016). Mackampa has received critical acclaim from NME, The 405, Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Indie Shuffle, Wonderland and more, regular airplay from Los Angeles’ KCRW, and has amassed over 50 million streams via Spotify
