“I’m very proud to present my first feature at the
Rendez-vous Quebec Cinema, the first festival to program my first short film,
10 years ago. It was an honour to direct the first Netflix Quebec film, I still
have to pinch myself to realize it!”, said Patrice Laliberté.
Jusqu’au déclin is produced by Couronne Nord. The film will
be released theatrically in Quebec and on Netflix at a date soon to be
announced.
About the Film
As a way to prepare for disasters, family man Antoine attends a training
program on survivalism given by Alain, at his self-sufficient retreat.
Apprehending a natural, economical or social breakdown, the group goes through
drills meant to prepare them for apocalypses of all types. But the catastrophe
waiting for them is nothing like what they anticipated.
