From Ireland… for one night only! – Dervish – March 8

Sunday, March 8, 7:30 pm

Maison de la culture
441 rue de la Cour, Waterloo, Québec

Described by the BBC as “an icon of Irish music”, Dervish includes six of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, fronted by one of the country’s best-known singers, Cathy Jordan.

Recipients of a Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC Folk Awards, this Sligo-based band marries technical brilliance with a rare sensibility. They are renowned for their live performances, which match dazzling sets of tunes with stunning interpretations of traditional songs.

The group includes: Cathy Jordan (voice, bodhran), Tom Morrow (fiddle), Shane Mitchell (accordion), Liam Kelly (flute/whistle), Brian McDonagh (mandola/mandolin) and Michael Holmes (bouzouki).

Join us at the cozy Maison de la culture de Waterloo on Sunday, March 8 – just 15 minutes from Knowlton, 50 minutes from the Vermont border, and 1 hour from Montréal.

A great way to get an early start on your St-Patrick’s day celebrations.

Also, March 8 is International Women’s Day!
