Daegu’s Pop-Punk/Hardcore/Skate-Punk trio Drinking Boys and Girls Choir return with two succinct singles released digitally on March 6th by Damnably and Electric Muse (Korea) – just ahead of their SXSW showcases.

Late last month they finished the #YAMETATTA Euro Tour with labelmates Otoboke Beaver, that saw many sold out gigs and large crowds in the UK and Netherlands

OK, Bye was written by Meena with music from MJ and MJ wrote the lyrics and music for Start again.

In their own words

OK, Bye (01:42)
Farewell, and it’s a song that contains feelings that expect a new encounter. Ahead of the arranged farewell we just laugh and dance and sing. And tomorrow we will walk through our path.

Start Again (01:38)
It is a song of the heart that I always live in the world where faith is always prepared in the world where faith is swayed. I will make more voice louder about what you think it’s right without being frustrated.

Formed in 2013 when two drummers MJ and Meena shared a rehearsal space anddecided to form a band,Meena switched to Bass and guitarist Bondu (who had just finished his military service) answered their ad. They bonded over a shared love of drinking, skating and punk. Inspired by Daegu’s 90s-00s hardcore punk/indie-rock scene before it moved to Seoul, a topic band are very passionate about. They won’t move to the capital, preferring to nurture a sustainable local scene. in 2017, MJ suffered a serious motorbike accident, so the band took a hiatus while awaiting her recovery. When she was fit again, they DIY produced their 18 track debut album “Keep Drinking” released on Damnably/Electric Muse in 2019, followed by show stealing appearences at SXSW, TGE, LSC, Pentaport, Busan International Rock Festival, Zandari, MU:CON & Indie Week (Canada).
They also toured the UK tour supporting labemates Otoboke Beaver & Say Sue Me on the GOLDENWEEK19 Tour.
Bondu retired from the band following their UK tour, with Myorori Kang taking up the mantle of guitarist for the band.
The band have further North American/ European/Asian tours planned in 2020.
