MATTY AND BENNY EAT OUT AMERICA

FIRST EPISODE OUT ON YOUTUBE

New York Times best-selling cookbook author and acclaimed chef Matty Matheson and Grammy-winning artist, producer, songwriter, and musician Benny Blanco announce a new collaborative cooking show. Matty and Benny Eat Out America launches exclusively on Benny’s YouTube channel today, with the first episode available now—watch here. Produced by Interscope Films and Cassoulet Palace, the first season will feature eight weekly episodes and include appearances from Kenny Beats, Lil Dicky, Laird Hamilton, Diplo, Mason Ramsey, Kehlani, and Zach Choi.

The series was born from a multi-year friendship between the two, which started when Benny first ate at Toronto restaurant Parts and Labour, where Matty served as executive chef during its rise to prominence in the city. The duo immediately hit it off and shortly after their initial meeting, Matty messaged Benny on Instagram with the title of their then-fictional show, which prompted the pair to make it a reality.

“This is the greatest food show I’ve ever made and I’ve made a lot of great food shows.” Matty says. “So that means this one is the greatest.”

“I can’t believe I got to be a part of the greatest food show of all time.” Benny echoes. “I can’t believe I also got to be a part of the worst food show of all time.”

Matty and Benny’s compatibility is palpable in the first few moments of the premiere. The episode opens with the charismatic duo recapping their first episode in a bathtub over a plate of spaghetti and a glass of milk before relocating to taco joint Mariscos Jalisco in East Los Angeles ahead of Matty’s debut on producer Kenny Beats’ show, The Cave. Matty is then tasked with rapping over a beat produced by Kenny and Benny himself. After a few warmups and adlib attempts, they end up with a self-proclaimed “hit” and head back to celebrate where it all started, the jacuzzi.
