OSHUN To Launch 100k Tour April 21 (Here)
Highlighting unique voices that aren’t heard in the mainstream, the legendary shoe brand Dr. Martens has premiered the latest music documentary short film for the new Dr. Martens Presents Music & Film Series. The new mini documentary features the neo-soul, hip-hop duo, OSHUN.
In the documentary, throughout their home-base of NYC with director Vincent Martell of VAM STUDIO, OSHUN describe how they started, connecting just before attending NYU on the Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship, as well as, their unique approach to songwriting and finding their own musical tribe in New York. The mini documentary features outtakes from their recent sold-out performance at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU.
OSHUN recently announced a Spring/Summer run called the OSHUN100k Tour featuring over 30 U.S. domestic cities. The tour kicks off on April 21 in Philadelphia, PA and wraps up in Brooklyn, NY on June 19. The Spring run will include several dates as direct support for Lauryn Hill along the way.

Comprised of Washington D.C. natives Niambi Sala and Thandiwe,OSHUN forged an instant bond while attending their freshman orientation at New York University. An independent Hip-Hop/Soul duo, OSHUN is the sonic manifestation of Afrofuturism. Using digital and acoustic sounds, heavy drums and bass, and ambient harmonic textures, OSHUN connects with the spirit of their ancestors to manifest a sweeter tomorrow for us all. Since the release of their debut mixtape ASASE YAA in 2015, OSHUN has amassed a diverse world-wide fanbase better known as the Sunflower Squad. They’ve been recognized by media heavy hitters such as Paper Magazine, Rolling Stone, FADER, NPR, Revolt and OkayPlayer (just to name a few). They’ve also performed throughout the U.S. and Latin America and at major festivals all while remaining full-time college students at NYU. It’s been a wonderful journey and now that these young goddesses have graduated college and live on their own, they are transitioning into the next phase of manifesting their purpose. In 2020, OSHUN is preparing for additional releases of their album series bittersweet Vol. 2, complete with captivating visuals, a worldwide tour of the U.S., Canada, Africa, and a deeper look into their ever-evolving selves.
