The Premier of Quebec has requested the collaboration of the entire population in order to limit the consequences of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Among the measures adopted by the government is an indefinite ban on events involving more than 250 people. Pro Musica must therefore cancel or postpone concerts scheduled in a near future.
Due to the closure of Place des Arts, the next concert of the Mélodînes series, with the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal, scheduled for March 19 at the Salle Claude-Léveillée, has been cancelled and postponed to a later date.
The OSM, which is our partner in the Récitals series, has also decided to close the Maison Symphonique, which implies the cancellation of the March 20 rendezvous for the concert featuring Gerald Finley and Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
Finally, the last concert of the Pierre-Rolland series, with Kerson Leong, Sehiy Salov and Stéphane Tétreault, scheduled for April 9 at 8 p.m. at the Pierre-Mercure Hall of the Centre Pierre-Péladeau, which has been maintained until now, will finally be cancelled and postponed, given the request by the Minister of Culture and Communications to the promoters of all performance venues in Quebec to close their doors for a period of 30 days, starting March 14, 2020.
For ticket refunds or postponements, Pro Musica will communicate with all ticket holders, except for the Mélodînes concert on March 19, for which it is possible to contact the Place des Arts box office.

The current situation with the COVID-19 and the cancellation of concerts is significantly affecting our artists, our activities and the cultural community as a whole.
