Distributed by Fragments Distribution and produced by Transmar Films, L’ACROBATE, Rodrigue Jean’s sixth feature film, will be available on Fragments’ online store starting tomorrow, March 24. Written by Rodrigue Jean, L’ACROBATE stars Sébastien Ricard and Yury Paulau.
An erotic drama, L’ACROBATE was presented last fall in national competition at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC) as well as at the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), and has captured the attention of the public and critics.
Synopsis
In a North American city in the midst of a construction boom, a professional begins an intimate relationship with a Russian acrobat while visiting an apartment. Micha moves with crutches, his leg broken due to a fall of trapeze. The two men meet again every night in the same apartment that Christophe bought in a hurry. In the heart of winter, cut off from the outside world, lovers dive unrestrainedly where their desire leads them.
Rodrigue Jean
Rodrigue Jean is a New Brunswick-born screenwriter, director and producer whose work is comprised of fiction and documentary that involves ethical and aesthetic challenges. In his fictional feature films, he invents characters driven by their impulses and desires.
