A second Docs-in-Progress – Canadian Showcase at Cannes Docs of the Cannes Film Market 2020.
For the second year in a row, Telefilm Canada, in partnership with the RIDM Forum and in collaboration with the Canadian International Documentary Festival Hot Docs (Toronto), is proud to announce the establishment of the Canadian Docs-in-Progress – Showcase Canadian.
This year, the Cannes Film Market will take place online from June 22 to 26, 2020. The online edition of Cannes Docs 2020 will feature 8 showcases from different countries, each composed of 4 docs-in-progress, presented in the form of a pitch and an excerpt from the 10-minute montage. The Canadian Showcase will take place on Thursday, June 25 from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (French time). This event will allow producers and filmmakers of four Canadian projects in production to present their film in front of a floor composed of buyers, distributors, festival programmers and international sales agents.
Upstream, the RIDM Forum will provide pitch training to the promoters of these four projects and provide personalized support for their online presentation. This will be an opportunity for these producers and filmmakers to present a 10-minute clip of their film, make a presentation and launch their film on the international market.
