Want to watch the former Talking Heads frontman do his thing in a Spike Lee Joint? So do we, which is why HBO’s Lee-directed film version of Byrne’s brilliant Broadway show will open the 45th Toronto International Film Festival.
Joined onstage by 11musicians, Byrne plays solo material, Talking Heads classics, and a cover of Janelle Monáe’s “Hell You Talmbout” in a show The New York Times called a “cloud-sweeping upper.”
