A lot of people slag the NCIS series and yet their numbers are always good. So who is watching? Plenty of people is my answer. The second edition of NCIS is the Los Angeles one and this is its 11th season. A long time for any series to be on air.

Though this is a cop/special agent type show what fans of it have been waiting for a long time is set to happen this season: the wedding of Kensi (played by Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen). But first there are things like spies, missile attacks, Mossad agents, missing soldiers, murder, stolen art, kidnapping, a computer virus, drugs, a trafficking ring, UFOs, an arsonist, and arms dealers.

For those who are out of the loop, the show is about the Los Angeles branch of the Naval Criminal Investigation Service. The small division is led by Hetty Lang (played by Linda Hunt), who commands G. Callen (played by Chris O’Donnell), Sam Hanna (played by LL Cool J), Deeks and Kensi. Added to the team this season is Marine Lt. Colonel Sarah Mackenzie (played by Catherine Bell) and Navy Captain Harmon Rabb Jr. (played by David James Elliott).

As has been typical of the series, the stories are all set up well even though the resolutions are rather predictable. All the different missions are engaging. Though after 11 seasons we have certainly had our fill of murders, disappearances, kidnappings and robberies.

Glad that Linda Hunt/Hetty is back. She brings a level of intelligence and snappy repartee that was missing over the last couple of seasons. Whatever scene Hunt is in she dominates.

Season 11 features cameos by Gerald McRaney, Moon Bloodgood, Vinnie Jones, Pamela Reed, Evander Holyfield, Bar Paly, and Peter Jacobson.
