Planet Africa 25 |
Launched in 1995 for a decade-long run at the Festival, Planet Africa brought together films from across the African continent and diaspora to showcase Black creativity. Now, in the age of Black Lives Matter, we continue to celebrate the voices that this programme first amplified 25 years ago with screenings of 40 Years A Prisoner, Akilla’s Escape, Downstream to Kinshasa, and The Way I See It. |
Best of TIFF Reunions presented by Bell |
Join them as they reunite key members of cast and crew from iconic past TIFF films! They’re marking movie milestones, including a 4K drive-in screening of Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket; Darren Aronofsky’s dark drama Requiem for a Dream; and the first-ever TIFF People’s Choice Award winner back in 1978, Girlfriends. Watch the conversations online for free on the Festival’s online talks platform, Bell Digital Talks, and catch the films afterwards on Crave. |
