THE MEZZO LIVE HD television channel, the world’s leading television channel for classical music, jazz and dance, is proud to present the concert of conductor Susanna Molkki live at the Montreal Symphony House on Friday, October 2 at 8 p.m. Under her direction, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra will perform Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony. Finland’s Susanna Molkki will conduct Schubert’s famous Unfinished Symphony. For his third concert at the Montreal Symphony House, the residence of the OSM, we can expect a performance full of passion and mastery. The program will be completed with two pieces by Debussy and Wagner, in a concentration of lyricism and passion.

On the classical side, a new concert that is out of the ordinary in October: Teodor Currentzis and his musical Aeterna ensemble in the sumptuous setting of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. This special concert of sacred music, which includes works by the great medieval mystic Hildegarde von Bingen and the Russian composer Retinsky, is not to be missed on Tuesday, October 18 at 8 p.m. In addition, in November, we will discover unreleased concerts filmed this summer in the magical setting of the Alhambra de Granada by Jordi Savall, Javier Perianes, Fabio Biondi.
The famous impossible love of Shakespeare’s two young heroes will be offered in an opera on October 24 at 6:30 p.m., with Joyce DiDonato in Bellini’s Les Capulet et les Montaigu
Finally in December (11th at 8pm), the chance to rediscover a real “cabinet of curiosities”, Le Ballet Royal de la Nuit, this baroque magic theatre recreates one of the mythical festivals of the court of Louis XIV where for the first time the young king will be personified as the Sun King.
