As the Festival du Nouveau Cinema unveiled its list earlier this week, the oldest film festival in Canada is celebrating the success of its 49th edition by announcing the introduction of a final marathon to take full advantage of the final days of the Online Festival. Designed to encourage discovery, the various packages will be in reduced in half from noon today until October 31st. In addition, the FNC is pleased to offer an additional day of viewing for moviegoers to enjoy the Festival’s films until the end of the last weekend: originally scheduled until Saturday, October 31, the viewing period will run until Sunday, November 1 at 11:59 p.m. to allow as many people as possible to explore the FNC’s extensive programming.
A marathon of new cinema
For the last 10 days of digital festivities, the FNC offers the public the opportunity to view the films in its programme through dedicated packages and a half price. In this way, the public will be able to find the seven award-winning feature films, including the prestigious Golden Wolf winner ATLANTIS by Valentyn Vasyanovych’s in its FNC 2020 Awards Package. Also available at a discounted price, the Time Package in which the public will be able to find Jean-Pascal Zadi’s anti-racist comedy SIMPLEMENT NOIR, a great success with festival-goers as well as Christian Petzold’s UNDINE, which is featured in The Must-Have Package. Or the recipient of the FIPRESCI Prize, LAST AND FIRST MEN, the first film by the late composer Junhann Junhannsson to be discovered in The New Alchemist Package.
