As a follow up to their debut EP, Ontario duo Kadeema have already shared classic covers of Duran Duran and Elton John hits. They are now wrapping up the string of covers with “I Want To Break Free” by Queen.
Band members Jimmy Chauveau and Tal Vaisman are lifelong Queen fans and felt the title served as a slogan for people in quarantine. They produced the track themselves and tried to stay true to the original while adding their own twist to it. The band reimagined how Queen might have done it if they were a new band in 2020, showing how timeless the song is. The cry for freedom will never stop being relevant one way or another.
