With the warmth of Hope’s vocals and her soulful flair, the singer/songwriter makes the touching holiday track uniquely her own. “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” doubled as a protest song at its inception, promoting unity and peace amidst political disarray; through Hope’s tenderhearted spin on the track, her version, too, kindles a parallel sense of optimism for the future as this tumultuous year comes to a close.
