In My Darling Vivian — the acclaimed SXSW doc coming Tomorrow: Tuesday, December 8 to VOD — director Matt Riddlehoover traces the romantic, wrenching, and dizzying journey of Vivian LibertoJohnny Cash‘s first wife and the mother of his four daughters, who was targeted by hate groups over her perceived race.

My Darling Vivian is on Variety‘s list of Oscar contenders for Best Documentary Feature and was named one of 2020’s best movies by CBR. It’s one of the best-reviewed documentaries of the year; it’s Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with 95% Fresh reviews and is ranked among Metacritic’s top 100 of 2020. Originally slated to have its world premiere at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival, My Darling Vivian captivated audiences during SXSW’s virtual run on Prime Video and was named a critics’ pick by The Hollywood Reporter. The film went on to win the Special Jury Award for Excellence in Editing at the 2020 Bentonville Film Festival.
