THE COLDEST FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD

INVITES HIMSELF HOME WITH

CRi, JACQUES GREENE, LOU PHELPS  AND MISSTRESS BARBARA

AND AN IGLOOFEST MARATHON AT THE S.A.T.

ONLINE FROM FEBRUARY 13 TO MARCH 13

This year Igloofest invites festival-goers to celebrate at home – whether in their backyard, living room or balcony – every Saturday from February 13 to March 13 on Facebook, Twitch and YouTube in the company of the best of the local electronic scene.

The best of the local scene invites itself home

In 2021, Igloofest adapts and maintains its title as the coldest festival in the world. While waiting to be able to return to the Jacques Cartier pier, Igloofest invites itself to the first-hour igloosapiens lounge for 5 special evenings, including a surprise, broadcast free of charge on digital platforms from unusual places in Montreal. Thus on February 13, CRi’s euphoric notes will open the ball accompanied by his collaborators Jesse Mac Cormack and Sophia Bel for a first evening on the site of La Ronde. The following week, February 20, it will be the turn of the prolific Jacques Greene to perform, for the occasion, at the Old Port of Montreal. Lou Phelps, a young rapper produced by Kaytranada, among others, will perform from the Stewart Museum on February 27.  And finally, on March 6th,the queen of Montreal nights, Misstress Barbara, will be on the roof of Videotron’s headquarters for an evening with more techno sounds than ever before.

An Igloofest marathon at the S.A.T!

On March 13, the Society of Technological Arts (S.A.T) will host Igloofest for a music marathon broadcast live online and live on Facebook, Twitch and YouTube. From noon to midnight twelve DJs will take turns at the turntables. They will be accompanied by ten VJs that will enhance the sounds of their visual creations. Toma Voglen will follow one another for this night of madness; Vehno; Pascale Project; The Fitness and Pony; Zen Nana; Mr. Bootyspoon; Priori and mzz, Laurence Matte; Joumana; Guillaume Michaud and TDJ. They will be joined for the occasion by VJs Gold Casanova; Myriam Boucher; AsWed; Jason Voltaire; DAPH3000, LLL,TiND in duet with Creation ExNihilo; Diagraf and Melesul3.

True to its festive reputation, Igloofest will feature weekly capsules and a mini-documentary that will be broadcast online and will allow its winter warriors to relive the strong emotions of the world’s coldest festival, waiting to be able to meet together in 2022 for the 15th anniversary celebrations.
