EXCEPTIONAL FORAY INTO DIOR
AVAILABLE ON VIDEO-ON-DEMAND ON FEBRUARY 22
Feature documentary NOSE will be available on video-on-demand from February 22, 2021. Directed by filmmakers Clément Beauvais and Arthur de Kersauson, this intimate and graceful film portrays the souls and stories that make great perfumes.
For the first time in a feature-length documentary, the prestigious Maison Dior has opened its doors to unveil the underside of creation in perfumery. Travellers at heart, Arthur de Kersauson and Clément Beauvais followed François Demachy for two years and in 14 countries, from Grasse to Nosy Be, passing through the coasts of Ireland, in his search for inspiration and the most precious raw materials.
To create this portrait of François Demachy’s nose, the filmmakers discovered a world of beauty and aromas, populated by exceptional flowers and raw materials, passionate men and women and extraordinary landscapes. Patiently, they captured the slow time, expert techniques, smiles and silences, lonely creative moments and the collective synergy that presides over the birth of prestigious perfumes. From the Grasse à Nosy Be to the bergamot of Calabria, through the Indonesian patchouli and the Sri Lankan sandalwood, NOSE is a journey during which we discover the small protected industries and unique regions that continue to live thanks to the support of a house that wants to give its perfumes the best raw materials.
