THE SERRE – Living Arts is proud to announce the 15th edition of OFFTA, a live arts festival, to be held from May 28 to June 6, 2021.
After being one of the first festivals to be held in a pandemic context in 2020, THE OFFTA is back again this year with an edition that will allow our imaginations to spread off the beaten track. An event to reinvest in our common spaces and relearn how to be together!
Thus, the festival’s programming will offer a series of performances remotely and in-person, outdoors and indoors, across different parts of the city. The performances will be proposed and thought of with each of the artists to take place in the locations that best match the essence of their work. The festival will therefore adopt a walking formula throughout Montreal to allow intimate and friendly meetings with festival-goers. Video broadcasts, thematic roundtables, professional meetings and international collaborations will complete the programme for the 2021 edition.
Always in a desire to improve the accessibility of the festival and to follow on from the positive experience of last year, the festival will renew and enhance its model of solidarity ticketing to celebrate this 15th edition. A pass giving access to all the activities of the festival will once again be offered to festival-goers at different prices, inviting them to a real experience of discovering the emerging scene in the living arts. This initiative will promote a collective rather than individual approach, thereby enhancing the participation and commitment of festival-goers to OFFTA and the artists featured there.
The continuation of this 15th edition of the festival is in line with the recommendations for social distancing and the guidelines issued by the various public health authorities. Compliance with these recommendations and guidelines is essential to prevent the spread of the virus, and we ask festival-goers to apply them at all times.
