The webcast of Rayannah‘s multidisciplinary project Afterglow will take place on March 19th at 8pm (EST) via Facebook Live, in collaboration with Synonym Sound and Théâtre Cercle Molière.
Rayannah returns to present the amazing concept in virtual form: an immersive, multidisciplinary, interactive live performance from her new show Afterglow, recorded at the Théâtre Cercle Molière in Winnipeg. Visual artist Stephanie Kuse (Sckuse), dancer Emily Solstice, dancer Stephan Azulay (Royal Winnipeg Ballet), contortionist Anastasia Evsigneeva, and lighting and set designer Miguel Fortier will create a unique multi-sensory experience. Afterglow brings together several visual and sonic elements tied to Rayannah’s last album. She will be accompanied by her sister and Winnipeg-based musician Caro LaFlamme for the first time. In addition, drag artist Ruby Chopstix will perform in honour of the first edition of the GORGE Drag + Queer Arts Festival, opening the following day.
Several complementary elements will be available to make the experience even more special: a zine, an Afterglow beer, an Instagram filter created especially for the show and a website with moving art (viewable at theafterglow.net).
