Mavin Records, Africa’s most influential record label, and (RED) are joining forces with long-time (RED) Supporter, Virgil Abloh, to drop a special remix of the hit single, “Peace of Mind,” by Mavin Artist Rema. The remix is available to stream and download worldwide, with proceeds going to support (RED)’s efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on life-saving HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.
The remix is a teaser to the Afrobeats-inspired DANCE (RED) SAVE LIVES Vol. III album that will be available on streaming services worldwide on April 2, 2021. The remix samples Fela Kuti’s legendary track “Water Get No Enemy.”
“Rema the future, you can hear it in voice and see it in his presence,” said Virgil Abloh, Chief Creative Director and founder of Off-White™ and Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton. “This creative collaboration with (RED) and Mavin Records has provided a platform for artists to create and give back to the community at the same time — I’m proud that my artistry can inspire and ultimately help those affected by COVID-19.”
“We are honored that Virgil has supported (RED) with his talent, especially during our special 15th anniversary year. His creativity inspires many and we are excited for everyone to experience his work on this album,” said Jennifer Lotito, President & Chief Operating Officer, (RED).
