The spirit of FXXXXY pushes forward with the release of his new record, “Yeah Kool,” featuring Lil Uzi Vert. Before his death, FXXXXY received a rare opportunity. While working on Future and Uzi’s joint project Pluto X Baby Pluto in Miami, he and Uzi bonded after Future ran late to their studio session. The union between both rappers ultimately led to the organic collaboration of “Yeah Kool.”
The dynamic twosome shine with their electric connection as they barrel through the competition with fury. Anchored by FXXXXY’s catchy hook, he and Uzi fearlessly spew braggadocious raps aimed at their rivals. “The ni–as they f—ing get fired from gimmicks/ That’s what you get for exposing your feelings,” raps FXXXXY on the song’s opening verse. In December, FXXXXY released his posthumous debut album Do You Trust Me? The nine-track collection was an excellent showcase for the late Dallas superstar. Headlined by his previous singles “The Worst,” “Paranoia / #1 Stunna,” “Need You,” and “Follow Me,” the rising hyphenate nimbly flaunted his indelible skill-set and wizardry on the production side. With features from Gunna and Lil Durk, FXXXXY’s debut project was a mesmerizing experience for his day-one fans. He followed up with a sizzling freestyle over Ryan Trey’s 2019 hit “Nowhere to Run” with his smooth melodic croons.
During his career, the highly-sought-after producer notched several monumental victories, including a platinum plaque for Future’s latest album High Off Life. His previous wins also include his earlier collaborations with Gunna (“Need You”) and Lil Durk (“Follow Me”), which further exuded FXXXXY’s innate attributes as a musical virtuoso. After landing co-writing credits for Future’s “Life Is Good (Remix),” Internet Money’s “Thrusting” and Gunna’s “Street Sweeper,” FXXXXY’s gifted abilities on the music front are creating a frenzy in the hip-hop space, making him the genre’s best-kept secret.
