In association with Culture Ireland, the Dublin Book Festival will screen three events at the Blue Metropolis Festival in Montreal on April 29th. The three free events will feature as part of the “Other Encounters” section of the festival and promise to bring a blend of traditional and contemporary Irish culture to Blue Metropolis.
There will be an interview with multi-award winning author and director Neil Jordan to discuss his new book The Balled of Lord John Edward and Citizen Small and Nuala O’Connor, author of Nora will be talking about her novel. There will also be musical interludes from the enchanting duo of Clare Sands and Susan O’Neill. The second event will be a podcast exploring the work being produced in and about Ireland by its contemporary writers and poets. For the third event, award-winning Irish children’s author Erika McGann and best-selling children’s author and illustrator Gerry Daly will present a fun-filled interactive story and art event based around their book, ’Where Are You, Puffling?’
