“Disbeliefs”, the single from the duo composed of Alinoë Shneider and Charles Bélanger, explores the theme of family support. It will be featured on their upcoming album Cafés In Times of Disbeliefs which is scheduled for release this fall. Originally from Quebec City, the duo mixes different styles like Japanese jazz fusion and new wave. This single’s upbeatl and groovy aesthetic recalls Tame Impala, Beach Fossils and Les Louanges.
The video for “Disbeliefs” was shot for the most part in the vicinity of route 138 between Baie Saint-Paul and Les Éboulements by Hugo Marais. The rest of the visuals were taken in a European grocery store on St-Jean street and in Alinoë’s apartment in Quebec City. Filmed with a Coolpix 995 camera, the separate shots give a vintage feel.
