Piknic Électronik is very pleased to announce its grand return to the open air at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saturday, July 3, 2021 for its 18th edition! After a year of absence and “Piknic at home”, Piknic Électronik is more than eager to welcome festival-goers back to its site which will vibrate to the sound of the current electro scene. In parallel, Piknic Électronik is also very pleased to announce the release of its first vinyl Planète Piknic Vol.01. Produced and marketed in collaboration with Courage!, this disc will bring together 7 titles created by artists from the Montreal scene in order to put the next generation of the local scene in the spotlight.
Piknic Électronik finally back at Parc Jean-Drapeau!
From Saturday, July 3, Piknic Électronik returns to the park on St. Helen’s island and invites music lovers to celebrate with them on Saturdays and Sundays for about twenty emblematic events of the Montreal summer, while respecting public health guidelines. For this very special edition, Piknic Électronik will welcome twice a day, on different stages, a limited number of spectators: in the afternoon, from 1pm to 5pm, and in the evening, from 6pm to 10pm. The ticket office for the first 2 days of the event will be open from July1st. Tickets will be sold in pairs with assigned locations in order to respect physical distancing measures. Wearing a mask will be mandatory on the site, except when in your assigned place. Tickets for the following events will be available over the next few weeks.

This season’s soundtrack will once again feature both big names and young emerging talents that Piknic Électronik has continued to bring to the forefront for 18 years now. In July, focus is on the local scene!

In addition, at the end of the summer, Piknic Électronik will market the first volume of Planète Piknic, produced and marketed in collaboration with Courage! , multicolore’s partner dedicated to the management of artists, music production and events. Available at major record stores as well as online, the vinyl will bring together 7 titles created by emerging Montreal artists who will be part of Piknic Électronik’s programming this year.
